Don Gibson is a training & organizational process facilitator with
28 years experience. His specialty is facilitating teamwork communications
- blending analysis, learning, creative planning and coaching with implementation.
A graduate of Kent State University, Don studied communications, training
and organizational team development at the undergraduate and graduate
levels. Don has been a principal of Achievement Training Corporation since
1995. His prior business experience includes serving as an instructional
designer/facilitator for The Timken Company and Bank One.

As an OD communications consultant, Don helps companies solve their day-to-day
company communications problems. Using a combination of analysis and follow-through
coaching, he guides employees to manage their communications, making it
an integral part of their jobs. His clients learn to identify their job-relevant
communication contacts and channels inside and outside the company. After
they determine if each involves sending or receiving information, collaborating
or decision making; they learn to implement their new communication roles.
Don is a certified graduate of The McNellis Company’s Leading Groups program in compression planning, The Indiana University Audio-Visual Institute and Educational System for the Future’s Instructional Development Learning System. Don has served clients including: BP, Ferro Corporation, Goodyear, Gould, Logisync, TRW, U.S. Steel, Vail Industries, Wayne-Dalton Corporation, Ohio Export Assistance Network, The Market Research Association, and Stark State College of Technology.
Don is a past president of the Northeast Ohio Chapters of the International Society for Performance Improvement and the American Society for Training and Development. He has presented at numerous national, regional and local conferences. Don also chairs the speaker development committee for the Ohio Gideons.
